Manchester Freelance Fair – top of the social media charts

Yesterday’s Brookson Enterprise Freelance Fair went to the top of the charts on Twitter yesterday beating talk about Manchester United, Lord Sugar and Carols Tevez.

Not only did the event reach out far and wide beyond the actual doors, but three-quarters those attending went away confident of doing more business as a result of attending the event.

Neil Lewis, orgainiser, said “this was our largest event so far and we matched and made 350 individual business meetings in just one morning. In addition, many additional business cards were swapped in and around the formal networking parts during coffee breaks and the open networking session.”

He continued, “we were delighted that we were able to continue our exceptional levels of recommendation with 97% of people attending willing to recommend the event and a very high proportion asking us to repeat the event in Manchester in the new year”.

The event included high quality advice on how to pitch for more freelancer business – ask your potential client if they want more sales, and then look to see how you can help them achieve that. As well as tips on IR35 and accountancy issues from Brooksons, plus advice from PCG on how to succeed as a freelancer.

The final Brookson Enterprise Freelance Fair will be on the 19th November in Daresbury. And you can stay in touch with Brookson Enterprise Freelance Fair on Twitter at @efreelancefair.
