The second Enterprise Freelance Fair event of 2011 will take place at Liverpool Innovation Park on March 16th.

We sat down with Innovation Park Manager Mark Tock to find out more about the venue and event partnership.

Q) Mark, can you introduce us to Liverpool Innovation Park?

Of course. LIP is home to a growing & vibrant community of over seventy knowledge-intensive businesses ranging from digital start-ups to mid-sized software developers to multi-national games developers & pharmaceutical manufacturers.

When complete, LIP is envisioned as an effective open innovation campus recognised as a preferred destination for international knowledge-based businesses attracted by unrivalled digital connectivity (1Gbps), access to power, flexible refurbished office space, a rolling programme of investment in amenities including meeting room facilities, & a vibrant community of like-minded innovators.

Q) How do you help entrepreneurs and freelancers?

Our clients help each other. We create the environment in which this can happen by providing physical premises, arranging an engaging programme of workshops & networking events, negotiating preferential rates for services, & effecting appropriate timely introductions.

LIP is home to a community of entrepreneurs working for themselves, leading multi-national companies & offering each other beneficial services ranging from digital marketing know-how, market entry support, asset management expertise, data storage facilities, & business support services.

The Park is also a hub from which additional expertise, services, & support can be accessed from a much wider network. We consistently grow our network  to benefit our clients,& welcome interactions with entrepreneurs & freelancers to do this.

Q) Why is Liverpool Innovation Park partnering with Enterprise Freelance Fair on 16th March?

We are proud to partner with Enterprise Freelance Fair to deliver a unique partnering event for Freelancers & SMEs in the key knowledge-intensive sectors we focus on supporting. The event is entirely in-keeping with LIP’s ambition as a leading open innovation campus connecting high growth businesses to markets, collaborators & services via Superfast Broadband, world-leading knowledge economy partners, & excellent transport links.

Q) What does it cost to set up at Liverpool Innovation Park?

Setting up at LIP can cost from as little as £165 +VAT  a month including a dedicated office cube at a prestigious address, parking, meeting room use, access to Wi-Fi service, 24/7 access & security, intranet, co-location with a vibrant community of like-minded entrepreneurs, & invitations to an engaging programme of business events.
